We broke the ice as we gathered our delegates at our Welcome Cocktail Reception held on October 7, 2019, at the Grill 58 in the MGM Cotai. It was an important evening as our members had the opportunity to meet each other for the first time and put faces behind the companies.

The second day of the conference marked the official launch of the network and started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by our Director- Melvin Xavier and Co-founders Christian Raeuber and Nils Walle, together with our official event sponsors, Brian Jansen of Copex Air Cargo, Hari Narayan of Transworld Logistics DWC LLC, Soner Hosoglu of Arrivatrans, Gervais Iralde and Mike Jauregui of Share Logistics and Marcel Macke of Cargo Movers.

After the ceremony, Melvin Xavier welcomed the members with his opening remarks and shared a brief history of the network, its latest developments and milestones, and outlook for the future. He was then followed by the Senior Vice President of FIATA, Mr. Thomas Sim who delivered the keynote address and ran a Business Workshop titled: Business on the Move, where delegates were able to showcase their knowledge and strategies in freight forwarding through a business game.

Our Gold Sponsor – Brian Jansen from Copex Air Cargo also had the opportunity to showcase their products and offerings while shedding light on the dynamics of perishable trade in his region.

In the afternoon, the delegates gathered together for the first wave of face-to-face meetings followed by an evening of entertainment and drinks.

To start the day, Manish Chaturvedi from Transworld Group (Silver Sponsor) presented their company amongst the group which was followed by Mr. Bahadir Buyukkaymaz from Turkish Cargo who spoke about airfreight trends shaping the perishable freight industry. After the presentations, the delegates proceeded to their face-to-face meetings for the rest of the day.
